Who we are

Willard Brook Farm started as a small hobby; we’ll call it a homestead. While working as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, owner Nathan LaPointe, his wife, Jenna and their two boys Mason and Ben, had a few chickens, tried raising some pigs, and some of our neighbors got to know our first attempt at keeping cows when they taught us where the old saying, “the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence” came from.

We fell in love with growing high-quality food for our community. We learned a bunch, made lots of mistakes, met tons of amazing and supportive people and grew a little each year. We began to realize our morals, passion, and principles aligned significantly more with our work on the farm more than our current careers. So, we took a chance at making this our life’s work.

Willard Brook Farm’s center stone is permaculture; the development of agricultural ecosystems that are sustainable and self-sufficient. Our animals are all grass based, and our management revolves around rotational grazing patterns of all our livestock that heals and replenishes the soil and land we farm rather than take from it. Because of this, we grow some of the most delicious, nutrient dense and environmentally ethical food around!

Our Fundamental Principles

  • Transparency

Bring your camera and take pictures, there are no secrets here. Farm tours at our customers convenience!

  • Grass

All of our animals are raised on grass, rotated daily to provide fresh forage, spread manure, heal soil and eliminate pathogens and illness without the use of antibiotics. All of this leads to nutritional superiority and sustainability.

  • Expression

We provide a habitat for each of our animals that allows them to express their true instincts, forage preferences and, well, happiness. Pigs get to root through the woods, chickens get to fly through the pasture, cows get to graze our tallest grasses.

  • Community

We love feeding our community healthy, nutrient dense food. That once meant our neighborhood, but our community now extends to every state in New England!

  • Permaculture

Permaculture is the development of agricultural micro-ecosystems that are sustainable and self-sufficient. We harness natures existing complexity to create a healthier land and healthier food.

  • Honesty
